In collaboration with the Ministry of Education & Sports, Peer To Peer Uganda (PEERU) and with support from partners is implementing a national model program called the Peer To Peer Uganda Annual Youth Mentorship program. The Goal of the program is to create a movement of inspired young leaders who can influence others into living healthy and fulfilling lives. The program has continued to offer peer to peer mentorship to over 207 youths across Uganda aimed at building a generation of resilient and empowerment young leaders and mentors, we strive to inspire and contribute towards a Uganda of informed, inspired and self-driven youth in all aspects of life.
The program was developed through consultation with a wide spectrum of partners with in various sectors and cooperate spheres including youth, government bodies, religious and cultural institutions, business experts, mentors, trainers, health experts, civil society, development partners, academia and private sector that identified a need for an innovative mentorship program. The program is aligned with national and global priorities and standards. Targeting 100 young men and women (16-25 years) annually.
The program supports evidence-based interventions proven to mitigate the impact of the challenges adolescents and youth face in communities equipping them with the necessary skills, knowledge and opportunities to support them excel in the competitive world we live in today. The Program is an annual rolling basis program, through an 11 months’ mentorship development series of activities. The Cohort based program brings together professionals and influential leaders from various sectors to facilitate the mentorship program.

Muhumuza Micheal
Muhumuza Micheal Clyde, aged 38, father of 2 is the Executive Director at Health for Youth with Parents Involved. (HEY-PI) a youth centered Organization that for 13 years has focused on Youth Empowerment Programs with an emphasis of Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention as well as life skills’ development with a main goal to raise the quality of life for youth through appropriate Health Programs. HEY-PI has managed to bridge the gap between Youth and their Parents through creating safer spaces where Young People get required Counselling and Guidance from a parent perspective.
He is also a National Trainer of Trainers in various M&E applications using a unique Regular Monitoring and Evaluation methodology known as Lot Quality Assurance Sampling (LQAS) introduced by the World Bank. He possesses great knowledge and skills in developing various innovative M&E Strategies, materials, assessment tools (MIS) and electronic databases for HIV/AIDS (PMTCT, pediatric, ARV/TB care and treatment), Health and Education Programs which are all directed towards Program Management and effective policy advocacy for the marginalized.
Human Rights Activist
Loretta Owino
Loretta Owino is a Gender equality and Human Rights activist with experience in implementing Sexual Reproductive Health and Rights and Sexual Gender Based Violence projects in her career. She is currently the Program Officer- Health Uganda Community Based Association of Women and Children’s Welfare (UCOBAC). She is passionate about Human rights especially sexual and reproductive health rights and the fight against Sexual and Gender Based Violence (SGBV). For the past ten years she has worked with young people uplifting them into responsible champions ready to reach their potential. She is so excited about this new journey she is about to start in mentoring and coaching the 2018 cohort.
She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in social sciences and a Masters of Arts In Human Rights from Makerere University majoring in Women and Gender Studies. She has used her skills to train young people in understanding of Gender Equality Issues and to provide knowledge on Sexual Reproductive Health Rights, Human Rights and Governance.
Financial literacy trainer
Aisha Ali
Aisha Ali is a 24 Years old financial literacy trainer Certified by Bank of Uganda. She is the Founder of I Profile Foundation a social organization that focuses on child empowerment Programs with emphasis on Leadership, Financial Literacy and Entrepreneurship. She believes that training children on leadership and financial literacy is the best option to ensure that they grow into future leaders. She has achieved this through a campaign dubbed the Koin Dream Challenge aimed at inculcating a saving culture among Primary school going children across three regions in Uganda as well as crossing borders to Kenya. With her love for children, she has managed to reach out to refugee agencies to carry out a training program for children in refugee camps around Kampala for the past 4 years which has resulted into the improvement of their manners.

Oluwakemi Gbadamosi is a Lawyer, Advocacy and Policy strategist, and PR and Communications expert. Her Advocacy work focuses keenly on HIV/AIDS, Gender, and Access to Education for Girls. She is the Head of PR and Communications, Africa at the AIDS Healthcare Foundation. She is a TEDx Speaker and a Certified Coach, Speaker and Trainer with the John Maxwell Team.

Deep knowledge of internal and external communication strategies.Vast exposure to organizations in NGOs and media houses. Ensuring a variety of audiences understand organizational strategy, government affairs and community commitment. A solid understanding of the importance of working with teams to develop project, business and strategic plans. Flexible, enthusiastic and project oriented team player with solid communication and leadership skills to develop creative solutions for challenging organizational needs.
