Peer To Peer Uganda (PEERU) in partnership with African Centre For Global Health And Social Transformation (ACHEST) is implementing the Consultancy To Train Health Workers, Teachers And Students On Adolescent Health In 5 Districts In The Busoga Sub Region in the districts of Bugiri, Mayuge, Iganga, Kamuli, and Buyende districts. Goal; The goal of the proposed intervention is to strengthen the health system for improved Reproductive, Maternal, Newborn Child and Adolescent Health (RMNACH) service delivery in Busoga Region.

General Objective; To undertake capacity building on SRHR for teachers, students as well as health workers in five districts of the Busoga sub-region.

 

A total 180 Health Workers from 50 Health Facilities identified from the 5 districts were targeted, with an actual achievement of 187 Health Worker who were successfully trained.

Overall, the Objectives of the trainings were achieved, reaching a total of 685 teachers,
3,115 students and 187 health workers respectively from five districts in Busoga sub-
Region, namely Bugiri, Buyende, Mayuge, Iganga, and Kamuli. This amounted to 3,987
trained beneficiaries across the five districts with an overall 112% achievement against
set targets for the 3 categories of beneficiaries.
